Vagrant
My train goes just around the bend.
To a place so non-existence
-and reminiscent
A secret hidden within
Unshared
And, I’m alone
A Vagabond
A Hobo
And, I’m off to where my childhood wishes have no sorrow
Where everything shines new
-like the Spring
Undiscovered
Untainted
Untouched
And, I can smell the freshness of the air
-just a whiff
-within my senses
It reminds me & remains… True
And, it doesn’t desert me
And, it isn’t afraid of the consequences
And, it doesn’t hide behind a veil of indifference
It only stays
-for a longer duration -
Longer still then a mere moment…………….

Girl
La-Dee-Dah..
La-Dee-Doh..

I'm baking cookies
-I'm pouring tea
I'm careless
and my heart is free

I'm a child no more than the age of six
-counting dolls and pick-up sticks

I'm here and now
I'm smiling -see
My heart is far from being broken
And, everything is wheee..

Mother and Father are so proud now
For their daughter is all the rage/the wow.

And, I'm pretty
Look at my eyes
-they glow
I'm everything the world will ever want to know.

And, they'll all call me a beauty
and, they'll all smile at me
And, all the prospects of what I may turn out to be

And, I'll marry someone, a man someday
-Oh wow!..
And, I'll forget who I was/am, and the how...

Note: I do not hate Men.. I am not bitter.. I don't believe in Marriage... Why spend a lifetime struggling to define yourself. Only to one day become someone or something else?

Goodbye Kisses
It was Seasonal
-your glance
And, it reminded me of Moonbeams,
Candycanes,
Kittens,
and stuff that never lasts
-often goes away too quickly
Turning into and onto something else
Loosing it's flavor
And, growing old.........

Letters Unwritten
My head is spinning
-out of control
Thoughts unwinding
-as memories roll
In and out
All over again
A time,
A past,
A me,
A then
And, as these hands touch my-
Tear stained face that once was dry
Just when I think I am over it then-
Back here I am once again
Bearing my soul in sweet surrender
A time we shared
Something to remember
And all that’s over
And all that’s done
Retreats/Repeats and weighs a ton…

Of Darkness, Deviled Angles
It was rusty
-the blade
And, my pulse quickened
-as my hands trembled
Darkness had fallen all around me
Laden with despair
-and the confusion of a child
The Sheets
-ripped
-blood stained
And, I thought:
“What happened here?”
Just a thought, really
-without answer
My voice muffled to a silent lull
I could not speak
-but could sign it out for you
As my fingers formed
-took shape
A Dove flew by
-perched
-and, flew away with beauty in it’s grip…

Embankment
She crept within the small place
An ancient passage in her mind

Tiny bubbles forming
-of thoughts she'd left behind

And, all the while she wondered
Missed the fragrance of yesterday

And, nothing she could take with her
-or wish on, would ever really stay

But, the sunshine did creep fourth
Lighting up the covered hill

Of love and empty promise
One that would mature with time still

And, what about the embankment?
Something she could not cross

Love's wilted imperfection
Nothing forever is lost...

A Day By The Ocean
The Ocean Waves crashed upon the California shore. And, the Sunlight like a permanent heater; shown brighter against the backdrop of the World all around her.
She was nine-years-old. And, the moth in her pocket, mistaken for a butterfly; was loving the fragrant yarn of her yellow sweater.
And, as she took in the gentle breeze of the Ocean and watched the rustling of the Waves.
She thought long and hard about joining them.
Not particularly a warm day, but not cold enough not to feel the invitation that beckoned to her.
And, in holding onto memories dear, she watched as just up ahead her older brother was collecting Sea Shells. Further still ahead was her father, telling her that it was time to go.
And, the time spent there lingered. Though, the exact time and day would float away from her innocent mind. Like, that of a balloon tied to a wrist unraveling and floating further and further upwards.
She thought long and hard. Closing her eyes and creating her memory, storing it deep within her heart and hoping that she would never let it go.....

To Soar (For Christina Marie)
This Poem is about the Death of Winter and the Birth of Spring - Enjoy!

Soaring

-as your eagle takes flight.

Can't you tell that I'm no longer angry at yesterday?

No longer hiding behind the veil of uncertainty,

-and of another's travels off into the great blue.

And, what is this,

a smile upon my face?

For who/whom?

I'm cascading through lily fields – eyes open.

Kicking up the hay as I roll down along this hillside.

And, I'm smiling all the while.

Damage all but over & done.

Goodbye!

Old Rustic Town
Nobody visits this Old Rustic Town.

-It's windows are boarded up.

-It's shops have closed down.

An Old Dingy Road paved in silver & gold.

-has since been torn up

-and long since been sold.

But, the Ghosts and their laughter still travel 'round.

This Boarded up, Rustic, Dingy Old Town...
