Words...
An empty vessel and we don't speak enough-
Words...
My strength and my vow
-to type and to add much more of these;
Words...
Here I humbly beg for you to understand.
Hurt/to make amends with our-
Words...
In time forgotten, and you'll think them clever;
these Words...

The Woods…The Woods are arousing if you walk just a little ways off the beaten path. At least that is what she thought as she dipped the tip of her boot onto the softer dirt, and then delightedly stepped her whole foot down upon the greener grass.
And, this is where our story begins, for this is exactly what she had done. She got off of the Pathway that led her directly to the safety of her final destination.
And, with just the lowering of her hood, an unveiling/unmasking; it had begun.
Her curiosity had awaken as though it had been lain dormant her whole life. The World at once came alive with splendor and awe.
She, the girl had not always been so curious. But, as the saying goes and so it shall be said: "Innocence ends in the blink of an eye when white roses blush to red".
And, as she walked along kicking dirt up from below her feet, silence at once was broken.
"Hello, Kitty", he spoke with a sly smile and with words rehearsed and precise.
"Heh-Hello", her reaction was far falling further from his reality.
Circling around her, he was already picking bits of her from his teeth. Smiling a little too proudly, feeling a little bit too confident.
"Where are you off to on such a fine afternoon as this?" He teased.
"I…I… I'm not sure that it is any of your business. But, if you must know I am just out for a stroll."
He chuckled in reply.
"Out alone? Out for a stroll, alone? What a shame; such a pretty girl to be all alone. Would you-Would you like some company?"
"No!"
"No? Well, why not?"
"I would not like any company thank you." She tried but failed to move around him.
He took a breath deeper in of her, savoring the flavor of the mixture of scents illuminating from off of her skin; Lavender, Jasmine, Apples, Honeysuckle, Maple, Blood. He couldn't tell which fragrant enticed him more.
And, as she tried to pull from his intense stare. Her hair whipped within the breeze blinding her vision as autumn danced throughout her senses.
He lingered still, a little too closely, a little too dangerously.
She wondered what it was that he could not grasp.
Her manor was stern. She did not appear to be enjoying this unwanted attention. And, a smile did not appear upon her face.
But he waited for a perfect moment; as though she had stumbled within his Lion Den, emerged just in time for his afternoon feeding.
I could slit his throat. She thought. And who would care? Not I.
She wanted to scream aloud: "Go Away! Why don't you just leave me alone?", but her voice was stifled with fear.
Her denial did nothing however, but amuse him more than it drove him away.
Silence; it was maddening and deafening. You could cut the tension between them with a knife; a blade straight through the heart of the moment. And, still all the good it would do her.
She opted out. Her first choice would have to do. She would end his life before he could end hers. There was no other choice, as she couldn't go any further by or around him.
In her Wicker Basket there lay a knife. And, as he lunged upon her she slit him in two…

She walked on Beauty's path
-and spoke in Beauty's tongue.
An illuminating Aura,
-and, her hair was Golden spun.
And, I tried so hard to reach her.
And, my quest seemed Heaven sent.
As my pulse began to quicken,
-in me as by she went.
And, the Butterflies did linger
-knotting within my throat/constict.
And, I lost my voice to speak,
-like the snuffing of a candles wick.
And, knowing me - still guessing.
Knowing too well, I failed.
And, our chance encounter seemed as hopeless
-as a Train to it's Track;
-Derailed......

The beating/a heartbeat
The ticking of time's clock
A lover without a face
The breaking of a lock
A tunnel/a blind Alley
A noise just down a hall
The sweetness of a stilling breath
The tenderness/the lull
A story not yet written
Someone else's axe to grind
The killling death of envy
-lain dormant in your mind...

The Portrait hanging in the shadows tells of sins untold.
And, while your sitting prettily there,
-that Portrait's growing old.
But, oh how so deceptive
-how deviant your plan.
To be forever beautiful, and the youngest in the land.
In time the grey cracks will set in,
-as Dorian's plan is broken.
And the lines that will appear before
-as your age breaks silence; is spoken.
And you'll run and flee for cover as your youth has flown away.
Beauty fades with time,
-for beauty cannot stay...

Laden upon the ground, white and cold.
She forged on;
-one foot in front of the other.
It was hollow,
-this feeling she felt.
As she looked far ahead,
-and even further still beyond the snow.
Into the great beyond,
-where hopes and dreams remain alive.
Where everything once lost is found again.
In the distance...

I wanna live
It's an outspoken metaphor
Perhaps for the mundane
Like the attitude lain out before you.
Chasing your dreams onto another's pathway
I wanna smell the roses and not feel so,
-melancholy
Ha!
Such a big word,
You'll wonder:
Does she really know what it means?
You're so wise; I suppose
Lemons are sour
As you, I suppose
And this pathway,
-mine and mine alone.
You've worn out your welcome here...

She had to grow and leave the nursery.
Goodbye she had to say
-to her dolls and precious toys, and things of yesterday.
And, as she stumbled numbly through the open door
She was never to re-enter
-and this she knew for sure.
For surely when you grow-up it's time to put away
Childish dreams, treasures and thoughts that never stay
Within the realm of innocense
-and childhood dreams unbroken
And, if you're lucky just enough
-to take with you a token.....

Hungrily his eyes gazed over the figure approaching him.
Frightened by his intense stare, the figure in Red bid him good day and walked on.
Sensing her fear he studied her body from top to bottom, inch by inch.
His senses awaken by the very core of her innocence.
Red-hooded-cape, long brown hair cascading gingerly just below her shoulders.
It was maddening, he had to have her.
He'd follow along just behind, letting her scent guide the way through the trees in the forest
-sheer bewilderment.
The Red-hooded figure could feel his presence just behind her.
To the left, no right.
Just close enough behind all the way to the path that led to her Grandmother's house.
As she turned again, he had disappeared
-panting
-just out of sight...
